Design your own call screener

Never answer an unknown number again.

Build a little someone who picks up so you don't have to. You choose the voice, the accent, the attitude. Callers explain themselves to your screener, you get the whole conversation as a text, and you decide who deserves a callback. In your own time, with your heart rate exactly where you left it.

If ringing phones spike your pulse, if voicemails sit unplayed for weeks, if you've ever watched "Unknown caller" ring out and then worried about it all afternoon, this is for you.

Make them yours.

Everything here shapes how your screener answers. Try a few, the card updates as you go.

House rules

Known-sounding callers get a message taken. Sales scripts get a polite dead end. She switches language the moment a caller does.

A real call, texted to you

Sol took a call, 2:14pm Caller: James, from the parcel depot Wanted: somewhere safe to leave a package today Sol's read: genuine, quick one Suggested: no callback needed, told him the porch x

A spam call, handled

Sol screened a call, 11:02am Caller: withheld number, "your recent car accident" Sol's read: script, sent packing Your phone never rang x

How it works

No app. Works on the phone you already have.

01

Design your screener

Name, voice, accent, attitude, language, and how protective they should be. Change any of it whenever you like.

02

Forward your missed calls

One carrier code sets forward-on-no-answer to your screener's number. Any handset, any network, nothing to install. Don't fancy answering? Just let it ring.

03

Read the text

Every screened call becomes a calm little summary on your phone. Who it was, what they wanted, whether it matters. You reply on your terms, or not at all.

Questions, answered

The things people ask first.

Do I need a new phone or an app? +

No. Your screener lives on its own number; you set your existing phone to forward missed or declined calls to it with one carrier code (**61* on most UK networks). Any handset, any network, nothing to install. Turn it off any time with ##61#.

What do callers hear? +

Your screener, exactly as you designed them: the name, voice, accent, and personality you picked. They introduce themselves, say you can't pick up right now, and take a proper message. Real callers get warmth; cold-callers get whatever protectiveness level you chose.

What happens with spam calls? +

At higher protectiveness levels, script-readers get one polite line and the call ends. You get a two-line text telling you it happened. Your phone never rings.

What languages does it speak? +

Your screener opens in the language you chose (nine available including English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish) and switches automatically if a caller speaks something else.

Can I change the voice or personality later? +

Yes, everything is editable from your account: name, voice, accent, personality, language, protectiveness. Changes apply from the very next call.

How much does it cost? +

£4 a month. Dedicated number, unlimited screening, a summary text after every call. Cancel anytime, no contract.
